Family Child Care Pre-Licensing Class
The Family Child Care Pre-Licensing course is a 15-hour course which covers the following topics: 3 hours: Overview of Child Care Rules; 1.5 hours: Child Growth and Development of a Toddler (1.5); 1.5 hours: Growth and Development of a Preschooler (1.6) 1.5 hours: Health, Nutrition and Safety (2.1);1.5 hours: Developmentally Appropriate Practice (3.1); 1.5 hours: Guidance (4.2); 1 hour: Family and Community (5.4); 1 hour: Cultural and Individual Diversity (6.1); 1 hour: Professionalism (7.3); 1.5 hours: Administration
Prior to the first day of training the participant should read through and become familiar with the Family Child Care Rules and Regulations: The rules and regulations for a Family Child Care Home (not guaranteed to be the latest version however). Rules and regulations are only available in English.
